KnowledgeKernel is belief architecture, not opinion generation.

It provides:

The Structure of a Position

Every KnowledgeKernel position has:

1. The Stance - What the system actually holds to be true or valuable.

2. The Provenance - Where this position came from: evidence, reasoning, sources.

3. The Confidence - How certain the system is (0.8+ high, 0.5-0.8 medium, below 0.5 exploratory). Confidence levels are indicative, not fixed thresholds.

4. The Boundaries - Scope limitations, contexts where it applies and doesn’t.

5. The Challengeability - What evidence would change it, how it responds to disagreement.

The Question You Should Ask

Here’s how to evaluate whether a system has genuine intellectual substance:

Don’t ask if it can generate opinions. Any AI can produce opinion-shaped text. That’s not the test.

Instead:

  1. Ask what it thinks about something substantive
  2. Ask where that position came from
  3. Ask how confident it is and why
  4. Challenge the position and see if it engages or folds
  5. Ask again later and see if it’s consistent
